Archive Images from 1967 to 1990

This is an archive of my old, aged and not getting any younger images. The ones I took in the 70’s (worked as a lab tech and photographer) and 80’s (had money to buy gear) and maybe the 90’s (when I had time to practice). They are a mixture of street, people, building, landscapes and some odd stuff.

I hope you enjoy the page and please make comments.

Thanks – Jim N.

1956 Carvette

I think this a 1956 Carvette (if I’m wrong, please advise), shot between 1968 and 1971. Notice the gas price is $.31 per gallon. Tech: Scanned for Kodak Tri-X black and white file.

GroodYear Blimp Columbia (N3A)

The Goodyear Blimp is in my 1969 archive, taken at Will Rogers World Airport before they fenced it in. The station wagon and aircraft also date this image.

Wikipedia reports: GZ-20: This class is what the current American fleet is composed of. Introduced in 1969, with the America (N10A) and Columbia (N3A) being the first two. This class is slightly longer than GZ-19. However, in 2013 Goodyear will be retiring the GZ-20 and replacing with the Zeppelin NT.

  1. Just in case you’re wondering, the three aircraft in the background are DC-3 transports.

  2. Definitely looks like a ’56 Corvette. That’s a ’50s-era Chevy Suburban behind it as well, it appears.
